30 Minutes a Day

I keep telling myself to get up and go to the gym; I’m paying for a membership that I am not using. To be honest, I’m just not ready. I know that gyms have put many safeguards in place, but I am still not comfortable. Rightfully so during this Pandemic. So I explored Pinterest and found some amazing 30 minute work outs to do in the comforts of my home. I tweeked them of course to personalize them just for me. I realize that the key to being successful is to be consistent, period.

I work out between four and five times per week. I prefer being outdoors when the weather permits. I am not a runner and have a bad knee, but I do enjoy a brisk walk every now and again. I have challenged myself to drink a gallon of water per day. Sometimes I make it, sometimes I don’t. I am averaging 80 ounces which is pretty good. I take vegan vitamins and nutritious supplements daily. I have incorporated more fruits and vegetables into my diet and I do not deprive myself of enjoying good foods. I have to say its working because I have lost 17 pounds so far.

I also invested in a Sauna Bed from Higher Dose and I love it! So after I have worked out for 30 minutes, I put on my ‘hot suit’; long sleeved sauna suit and my eye mask and enjoy 30 minutes of relaxing “me time”.

Du-Summer Jazz Sessions are at the Roundhouse Plaza which is right across the street from the museum. Entertainers perform every Thursday from 6-8. FREE parking and nice wrapped tables set up for four, first come-first served. However, late comers know to walk in with lawn chairs and the regulars know to bring food.

I bought a sauna suit and I like it. I feel and know to be honest I need to be more consitant with my work routine too. I have my equipment at home so there really isn’t an excuse
