The Whale located at 2427 North Milwaukee Ave. Chicago was such a treat. A very lively spot with great bottle service. Servers were amazing; food came fast and everything was delicious. Pictured: deviled eggs with candied bacon, cheeseburger, buffalo cauliflower, shrimp and grits and lobster and waffles. Yes, I said lobster. Reservations are highly encouraged.

Acanto located at 18 South Michigan Ave. Chicago has a beautiful space and is always crowded. Pictured: Mixed greens salad, rigatoni with short rib ragu, house made rosemary bread and seeded crackers and tiramisu served in a pool of creme anglaise with a chocolate curl. A lady never licks her plate, but dang!

Remingtons located 20 South Michigan in Chicago is pretty hot! There is not a bad seat in the house and what beautiful lighting. The staff is exceptional and they pay attention to all of the little details. Pictured: Grilled turkey burger with soy and ginger, lobster deviled eggs, tuna tar tar, Moscow mule and carrot cake.

Bonefish Grille in Orland Park is a regular staple; somewhere to visit when you are craving anything “bang-bang”. If you can make it during happy hour, drinks are half price. Pictured: Blueberry lemon drop, Pomegranate martini, pork chops with fontina cheese and mushrooms and walleye with spinach and lump crab.

Du-Summer Jazz Sessions are at the Roundhouse Plaza which is right across the street from the museum. Entertainers perform every Thursday from 6-8. FREE parking and nice wrapped tables set up for four, first come-first served. However, late comers know to walk in with lawn chairs and the regulars know to bring food.
