Mentorship is a Virtue
Hyde Park certainly has a gem with this restaurant; reservations are a must and your stay is limited to ninety minutes. I was blessed to be treated in April for my birthday and each bite was impressive. I didn’t think fried green tomatoes could get any better, until they came out with shrimp on top. It was important that I shared the experience with my husband, so I took him for his birthday in August and he enjoyed it as well. So of course, when I received information about a special event at Virtue, it was a no-brainer that I would be in attendance. The restaurant started out selling tables of six, but I continued to stalk the website until they lowered the table size to four. The three other young ladies that joined me for this event were as excited as I was. Everything was so organized; there was a team in place to check vaccine cards or a negative Covid test before entering. I had no idea that the owner was closing the restaurant for this event. In between each entree we were given a bit of history about the start and the struggle of Virtue from the chef/owner and his team. Grammy winning spoken word artist J. Ivy performed and his wife Tarrey Torae also a grammy award winner blessed us with a song. It was an intimate evening with good food and friends.
Thank you for spotlighting this amazing restaurant. The food looks amazing and you look absolutely beautiful for the event.
Thank you! Every bite was a treat!
Three dining experiences and I’m sure this won’t be the last. It is one thing to walk past a restaurant and wonder about it’s beginnings. It’s another to actually hear about it’s history and journey to date. You were able to get he story behind the story while dining on exclusive cuisine ….add Grammy award winning artists and its UP. You fancy huh? Beautiful!
Life is about making memorable experiences. I prefer mine with a fork and a knife….
I have heard about this restaurant and plan on going soon! Everything looks delicious.
Girl, you better get there!! Everything is delicious!!
