Du-Summer Jazz Sessions are at the Roundhouse Plaza which is right across the street from the museum. Entertainers perform every Thursday from 6-8. FREE parking and nice wrapped tables set up for four, first come-first served. However, late comers know to walk in with lawn chairs and the regulars know to bring food. NO alcohol allowed. Beer and cocktails are available for purchase. The DJ is sure to get you up and out of your seat. Thaddeus killed it on the Xylophone, the drummer and cello player were also really good. Channel 2 news even showed up. I can’t wait to go back in September.

It truly felt like a walk through the past in this museum which has always been dedicated to black history and culture. So many of the pieces spoke to me and allowed me the opportunity to connect.

Lisa, you have done it again. I had truly forgotten about some of the sites. Thank you for re-introducing them to us. Well I better get going. Got a lot of places to see. Thanks again for sharing.

A good time is to be had in Chicago no matter what your interests are! Day time visits we’ve all done growing up in and around the city. But, nighttime? Thank you Lisa for shedding a little light on the events offered to adults who have not outgrown tired learning about this wonderful city….

I never heard of the money museum. It looks very interesting. The cube of cash is a great illustration of what a million dollars look like.
