If you are someone that appreciates rich history and culture, you are sure to enjoy a visit to Washington. My husband and I have been on five different occasions and there has always been something new for us to explore. We visited the Law Enforcement Memorial Museum and participated in different shooting scenarios and sat in their state of the art police car simulator; amazing. The night tour of DC highlights all of the popular attractions. There is a memorial set up by the Washington Monument for all of the victims lost to Covid. The Spy Museum is the most interactive museum I have ever been to; there are a lot of different crimes to solve using your badge. There is a test to see how long you can hang off the side of a building and a bomb to diffuse. The Zoo has been voted the top ten in the country; lots of healthy, active animals moving around. The African American History Museum has exhibits that will bring you to tears but will also empower you. We also enjoyed enjoyed the food and the temperature was in the 80s everyday.

Du-Summer Jazz Sessions are at the Roundhouse Plaza which is right across the street from the museum. Entertainers perform every Thursday from 6-8. FREE parking and nice wrapped tables set up for four, first come-first served. However, late comers know to walk in with lawn chairs and the regulars know to bring food.

Looks like fun. I haven’t been since I was a kid, and I can barely remember a lot of this. I’m definitely going to have to take a trip back to D.C
